The Oakland Coliseum is a multi-purpose stadium in Oakland, California. It currently serves as the home field of the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). The stadium opened in 1966 and has a seating capacity of 72,500.

The Raiders played their first two seasons at McAfee Coliseum before moving to the Oakland Coliseum. The Raiders won their first American Football League (AFL) championship at the Coliseum in 1967. In 1981, Al Davis signed a lease to move his team to Los Angeles. After months of negotiations, an agreement was reached to keep the team in Oakland and get a new stadium.
